Tile adhesives
At the same binder, dry powder addition and cure, compare tensile adhesion and its retention after immersion.
Repair mortars
Compare water demand, application consistency, workability and cracking after drying.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. SLEO · SL-RD5012 and SL-RD5014 technical data ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bulk density | kg/m³ | SLEO SL-RD5012 published example 490–590 | Confirm the grade and sample-loading procedure. Do not confuse loose and tapped density. |
| Solids content | % by mass | SLEO SL-RD5012 published example ≥98 | Agree test temperature and duration before using the result to calculate a dry-basis dose. |
| Ash | % by mass | SLEO SL-RD5012 published example 12 ± 2 | The manufacturer uses ignition at 850 °C. Compare ash values separately when temperatures differ. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
Require sealed moisture-resistant bags. Check caking, compaction in the bag and the lot number on each unit.
Storage and handling
Check stacking height, transport temperature and storage period. Use one sieving method for sample and commercial acceptance.
Sample and order lead times
State processing equipment, trial batch size and monthly demand. Confirm same-grade samples, first-order MOQ, staged deliveries and arrival date.
Questions from the plant
Why does a free-flowing powder still give poor mortar adhesion or flexibility?
Compare adhesion in the same mortar after standard curing and after water immersion.
Why can equal additions of redispersible powder give different bond strength?
Compare polymer type, ash and solids, then test with the actual substrate and curing conditions.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check polymer type, Ash, redispersibility.
