Beverage buffering
Plot a buffer curve for the actual acid-salt combination. Record target pH and dose.
Clarity in mineral formulations
At the same mineral salts and acid background, titrate to target pH. Compare turbidity before and after heating.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO · Sodium Citrate product information ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sodium salt and hydration state | Identification result | Request the specific form. | Identify the mono-, di- or trisodium salt and its water of crystallisation before comparing batch assays. |
| pH of specified solution | Dimensionless | Request the range at the specified concentration. | Specify solution concentration, water quality and measurement temperature. Record finished-food pH separately. |
| Buffering performance | pH versus acid addition | Approve in the target formulation | Plot comparison curves using the same acid, order of addition, solids and temperature. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
Chemical identity
| Database entry | Molecular or composition formula | Molar mass |
|---|---|---|
| Trisodium citrate | C6H5Na3O7 | 258.07 g/mol |
The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
ENVO lists 25 kg paper bags or lined bulk bags. Confirm order-specific net weight, units per pallet and label revision.
Storage and handling
Identify the hydrate on sack or bulk bag and analytical report. Verify liner moisture protection and repacked net weight.
Sample and order lead times
State food category, sales market, pilot quantity and required arrival date. Confirm MOQ, batch documents, availability and remaining shelf life separately for samples and commercial orders.
Questions from the plant
Why did acidity or clarity change after replacement by product name?
Plot the buffer curve with the actual acid and salt combination. Record target pH and dose.
Why do two buffers at the same pH resist acid differently in the product?
Measure pH change after the same acid addition. Calculate the salt needed to achieve the same buffer target.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check sodium salt form, water of crystallization, Solution pH.
Request documents for your application
