01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Nappa garment leather

At equal active content, compare softness, fullness and loose grain.

Upholstery or automotive leather

Compare heat aging, migration and compatibility with the surface finish.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Use these properties to compare grades within the product family. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. TFL CORIPOL AV · Fatliquoring in leather wet processing ↗

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Receive drums by oil system, net weight and batch. Do not store grades of different ionic character as one material.

Storage and handling

Agree the temperature range and whether a separated product may be rehomogenised. Request post-storage retest conditions.

Sample and order lead times

Compare quotations by active matter, as-supplied net weight and packaging. State destination and receiving facilities and request MOQ, sample dispatch and commercial arrival dates.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Why is the leather soft but spotted with oil?

Compare corresponding hide areas. Check penetration, fatliquor uptake and migration during drying.

Why can equal tonne prices produce different actual costs?

Convert product weight to active matter, then calculate cost per area of finished leather.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Active matter or nonvolatile content, Emulsion stability, Finished leather softness.
