When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
Mark feed use, particle size and lot on bags. Confirm liner and unloading method at quotation.
Storage and handling
Sieve samples from different bag positions after transit. Handle torn or foreign-matter-contaminated packs separately.
Sample and order lead times
State premix or pelleting trial size, replenishment quantity and receiving warehouse. Confirm MOQ, preparation time and plant arrival separately for samples, pallets and split orders.
Questions from the plant
Do two carbonate sources of similar purity deliver calcium at the same cost?
Use measured elemental calcium on the same as-received basis and net delivered price. Compare cost per unit of calcium.
How can segregation in a small pack be investigated?
Compare carbonate and carrier particle sizes and densities. After simulated transit vibration, sample the top, middle and bottom separately.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Elemental calcium, Particle size distribution, Acid-insoluble matter.
