Flexible film plasticization
Hold polymer and film thickness fixed. Compare glass transition behavior, elongation and surface migration.
Plasticizer retention in contact media
Under actual end-use contact conditions, compare mass, hardness and appearance before and after exposure.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. Jungbunzlauer · CITROFOL BII identity and film trials ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chemical identity | CAS | ATBC: CAS 77-90-7. | Verify identity against Jungbunzlauer CITROFOL BII data. TBC has a different identifier. |
| Acid value | mg KOH/g | Agree against the offered ATBC specification. | Check titration conditions and impurities that may cause odour or discolouration. |
| Migration after contact | % mass change | Specify the finished article and contact medium. | Keep the medium, temperature and duration constant. Record specimen thickness. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
Specify acetyl tributyl citrate on the drum label. Distinguish ATBC from TBC and check net weight and seal.
Storage and handling
Agree previous-load cleaning and sample container material. Check the actual grade’s documents for the intended contact application and market.
Sample and order lead times
State the finished part, machine trial quantity and routine order size. Match trial and commercial grades and agree MOQ, load unit, lead-time start and arrival.
Questions from the plant
How should alternatives be compared after water or oil contact?
Use the actual substrate and contact conditions to test migration, hardness and odour.
Is similar initial flexibility enough to scale up ATBC?
Check film migration, long-term storage and processing. Compare in the same contact medium at the same temperature.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check ester content, acid value and moisture, documents for the intended contact use.
