01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Wear-resistant tire compounds

At equal formulation and state of cure, compare abrasion, rebound and dynamic properties.

Rubber blends

Compare mixing stability, filler dispersion, green strength and dimensional retention.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Use these properties to compare grades within the product family. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. ARLANXEO · Polybutadiene rubber family ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Cis-1,4 content % Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification Ask the supplier to identify the method used to measure polymer structure.
Mooney viscosity MU Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification Use the same rotor, temperature and time.
Volatile matter % by mass Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification State sampling and drying conditions.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Check cis grade, net weight and wrapping requirements for each bale. Request samples by lot.

Storage and handling

Retain raw and compounded rubber to distinguish batch variation from filler dispersion.

Sample and order lead times

State processing equipment, trial batch size and monthly demand. Confirm same-grade samples, first-order MOQ, staged deliveries and arrival date.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Can two high-cis BR grades be blended under the same process without a trial?

Check Mooney viscosity and microstructure. Compare processing and finished properties in a small mixing trial.

What if abrasion improves but processing worsens?

Compare mixing temperature, filler dispersion and the BR proportion in the rubber blend.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Cis-1,4 content, Mooney viscosity, Volatile matter.
