01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Low-temperature laundering

Using the same lot of starch-stained test fabric, measure short-cycle cleaning and residual stain.

Liquid formulations

Assess retained enzyme activity after storage and removal of the target stain.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Review these properties for the intended application grade. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. Novonesis · Amylase and starch stains ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Amylase activity Units/g by supplier method Agree for the grade and end use State the substrate and assay temperature.
Residual activity % Agree for the grade and end use Agree the retained-sample conditions for the complete formulation.
Target stain removal Change in reflectance Agree for the grade and end use Keep the test fabric, machine model and wash cycle constant.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Confirm closure and low-dust design for granulated powder or liquid preparation. Receive according to the SDS.

Storage and handling

Check transit against the specified temperature range and remaining shelf life. Match lot and enzyme activity report.

Sample and order lead times

Compare quotations by active matter, as-supplied net weight and packaging. State destination and receiving facilities and request MOQ, sample dispatch and commercial arrival dates.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Why do equal weights of enzyme give different stain removal?

Compare active units, wash pH and actual contact time, as well as product mass.

Why does a long wash work better than the target short cycle?

Run parallel stain-swatch trials at the actual low temperature and short cycle time.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Amylase activity, Residual activity, Target stain removal.
