Concentrated micronutrient formulations
Calculate from measured elemental copper. Compare solution stability after introducing the other chelated metals.
Low-dose additions to nutrient solutions
Verify equipment delivery and final copper concentration using a stock of confirmed concentration.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Use these properties to compare grades within the product family. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. Nouryon Dissolvine · EDTA-chelated fertilizer grades and applications ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Water-soluble copper | % by mass | Confirm for the proposed grade and project | State total Cu or water-soluble Cu and the sampling basis. Use elemental copper results rather than total copper salt mass. |
| Chelated copper | % by mass or % of element chelated | Confirm for the proposed grade and project | State whether the denominator is total product or water-soluble metal. Identify the ligand and selective analytical method. |
| Water-insoluble matter | % by mass | Confirm for the proposed grade and project | Agree water temperature, sample-to-water ratio, filter medium and the drying and weighing procedure. Test compatibility separately with site water. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
Specify Cu-EDTA and elemental copper fraction on the pack. Select pack size to suit the quantity prepared each time.
Storage and handling
Segregate trace materials by lot. Recheck as-received content after opening and moisture exposure.
Sample and order lead times
State trial use, application season and latest warehouse receipt. Confirm MOQ, dispatch point and expected arrival for samples, initial orders and peak-season replenishment.
Questions from the plant
Can colour intensity be used to judge copper concentration?
Use elemental and chelated-fraction results. Colour is useful only for identifying an unusual batch.
Can copper sulphate replace the chelate in the stock at equal copper?
Compare ligand, ionic background and compatibility at actual pH.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Water-soluble copper, Chelated copper, Water-insoluble matter.
