Beverage acidification
At actual addition temperature and dissolution time, assess residue and uniformity of acidity.
Acid sources for dry baking mixes
At the same moisture and baking cycle, compare acidity distribution, crumb structure and undissolved particles.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO · Fumaric acid product information ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Melting range | °C | Request the specification for the offered food grade. | Assess together with assay and particle size. Melting point does not establish dissolution rate in the formulation. |
| Particle size distribution | µm or % sieve residue | Specify for the feed system | State sieve opening and percentage passing. For fine or agglomerated material, specify dispersion and sieving procedures. |
| Dissolution and onset time | min | Approve a sample within the customer’s operating window. | Record order of addition and temperature. Take successive samples from the same formulation. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
Chemical identity
| Database entry | Molecular or composition formula | Molar mass |
|---|---|---|
| Fumaric Acid | C4H4O4 | 116.07 g/mol |
The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
ENVO lists 25 kg bags. Confirm order-specific net weight, units per pallet and label revision.
Storage and handling
Match the bag label to particle grade and dispersion treatment. Inspect agglomeration and size segregation at the bottom after transit.
Sample and order lead times
State food category, sales market, pilot quantity and required arrival date. Confirm MOQ, batch documents, availability and remaining shelf life separately for samples and commercial orders.
Questions from the plant
What if undissolved particles remain in a ready-to-drink formula?
Assess residue and acid uniformity at the actual addition temperature and available dissolution time.
How should persistent acidic spots be investigated after increasing agitation?
Retest different size fractions at actual water temperature and mixing time. Check local coarse particles and addition order.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Particle size distribution, Assay, dispersion treatment description.
Request documents for your application
