01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Gummy confectionery

Compare texture after equal concentration and conditioning. Verify origin documents accepted by the customer.

Animal source review

Confirm the accepted source species, check the lot-specific declaration and then compare sample dissolution and gel strength.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO product listing · Name and catalogue reference ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Gel strength g Bloom Request the specified grade and tolerance. GELITA’s published example measures a 6.67% gel after conditioning for 17 h at 10 °C. Agree the grade range separately at sample approval.
Viscosity under specified conditions mPa·s Request the grade-specific range Fix solution concentration, temperature, hydration time, instrument and rotational speed.
Composition and source Documentation Obtain a declaration specific to the offered grade. Match ingredient, carrier and origin declarations to the supplier, specification version and lot.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Request photographs of the proposed inner bag or container, unit weight and closure. Match the lot on the inner and outer packs.

Storage and handling

Check source species, grade and lot on inner bags and cartons to prevent unintended grade substitution.

Sample and order lead times

State food category, sales market, pilot quantity and required arrival date. Confirm MOQ, batch documents, availability and remaining shelf life separately for samples and commercial orders.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Why can gelatins of equal Bloom strength differ in texture or setting rate?

Compare texture at the same concentration and maturation conditions. Confirm that the source documentation meets the customer’s requirements.

Do we still need to check origin after sample approval?

Specify species and manufacturing site where required. Check each lot declaration and review change notifications.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Bloom strength, Viscosity, animal origin documentation.
