Greenhouse nutrient solutions
Screen iron DTPA using return-water pH and ionic composition. Record turbidity and precipitation during storage.
Recirculating nutrient systems
Audit sodium, chloride and sulfate introduced by the proposed grade. Assess suitability under recirculating accumulation conditions.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. Yara greenhouse nutrient solution guide · Third-party D-Fe-11 iron and ligand data ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Iron content | Mass fraction | Nouryon D-Fe-11 solid, third-party example: 11.6% Fe. | Confirm DTPA as the ligand. Do not transfer the iron content of a liquid grade sold under the same brand. |
| Form supplied | Solid or liquid | Request an explicit declaration for the proposed grade. | For liquids, report density and measurement temperature. For solids, verify solubility separately. |
| Stability range in use | pH range | Nouryon D-Fe-11 third-party example pH 1.5–7.5 | The range depends on other ions present. Verify in the actual nutrient solution. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
DTPA-Fe is available in solid and solution grades. Itemise elemental iron fraction, net weight and container, and agree liquid density separately.
Storage and handling
Use target water quality and pH. Record storage intervals and light conditions for factory samples and on-site stock solutions.
Sample and order lead times
State trial use, application season and latest warehouse receipt. Confirm MOQ, dispatch point and expected arrival for samples, initial orders and peak-season replenishment.
Questions from the plant
Why do equal-iron grades differ in the feed solution?
Test with site water and the intended companion salts. Record clarity after standing.
Does a third-party pH range apply directly to our nutrient solution?
Check whether the reference covers actual calcium and other metals. Test retention of dissolved iron in the actual nutrient solution.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check ligand identity, chelated iron content, applicable pH conditions.
