Trial objective
Rigid PVC extrusion / Flexible PVC compounding
Acceptance checks
K value, Viscosity number, Volatiles (including water)
K value (Dimensionless)
ENVO SG3: 71–72; SG5: 66–68.
01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Rigid PVC extrusion

Use the same stabilizer and screw conditions. Record fusion time, torque and profile surface finish.

Flexible PVC compounding

At the same plasticizer ratio, compare uptake rate, dry-blend flow and fish-eyes in pressed sheets.

Form or grade Suitability and verification
Suspension resin For extrusion or calendering, evaluate fusion, particle porosity and plasticizer absorption.
Emulsion or microsuspension paste resin For coating or dipping, compare paste viscosity, changes during storage and gelation.
02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO · Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Resin catalogue and specifications ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
K value Dimensionless ENVO SG3: 71–72; SG5: 66–68. Use the same solution-viscosity method. Different SG grades are not interchangeable on price alone.
Viscosity number mL/g ENVO SG5: 107–118. Identify solvent, concentration and test temperature.
Volatiles (including water) % by mass ENVO SG5 ≤0.40 Check drying conditions. Total volatiles are not necessarily water.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

The public listing specifies 25 kg bags. Match the SG grade to the label and store each grade separately.

Storage and handling

Keep dry blends from both lots at changeover. Include loose powder bulk density and conveying method in the enquiry.

Sample and order lead times

State processing equipment, trial batch size and monthly demand. Confirm same-grade samples, first-order MOQ, staged deliveries and arrival date.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

What if the resin fusion rate does not suit our extrusion line?

Specify extrusion, calendering or paste processing. Compare fusion and defects in the finished part.

Why did die pressure change when moving from SG5 to SG3?

Check K value and viscosity number. Keep external lubricant and processing conditions constant, then compare torque and state of fusion.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check degree of polymerization or K value, Apparent density, plasticizer uptake.
