01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Reactive printing

With the same fabric and screen, test print edge definition, bleeding and paste stability.

Fine-line printing

At the actual screen mesh and machine speed, check screen passage, trailing and handle after washing.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Review these properties when selecting and inspecting incoming material. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. KIMICA · Alginates in textile printing ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Viscosity at specified concentration mPa·s Agree for the grade and end use Specify concentration, temperature, spindle and hydration time.
Filter or sieve residue Mass or grade Agree for the grade and end use Keep sieve aperture, water quality for paste preparation and standing time constant.
Residual paste after washing Mass or rating Agree for the grade and end use Use the actual fabric and washing procedure.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Pack separately by viscosity and particle-size grade. Check inner bags, moisture exposure and lot numbers.

Storage and handling

Specify water quality and calcium ions for the intended process. Obtain a viscosity report using the specified method with the goods.

Sample and order lead times

State processing equipment, trial batch size and monthly demand. Confirm same-grade samples, first-order MOQ, staged deliveries and arrival date.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Why do print lines spread at the same paste viscosity?

Check shear thinning, print pressure, fabric surface and water quality using the actual screen.

Why are gel particles present in the stock paste?

Check wetting, hydration and hardness ions. Retest with a soft-water control.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Viscosity at specified concentration, Filter or sieve residue, Residual paste after washing.
