01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Heat-resistant flexible PVC

In equal-hardness formulations, compare heat loss, color change on aging and tensile strength retention.

Heat-resistant cable compounds

Evaluate heat aging, volume resistivity and processing stability in the actual insulation compound.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO · Trioctyl Trimellitate (TOTM) catalogue and specifications ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Acid value mg KOH/g ENVO published premium grade ≤0.15 Define the titration basis. Confirm the main ester identity and method before comparison.
Density g/cm³ ENVO published premium grade 0.984–0.991 Measured at 20 °C. Verify the contractual acceptance temperature.
Volume resistivity Ω·m Agree for the cable compound. Measure on the actual insulation compound at specified temperature, humidity, thickness and electrode conditions.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Published examples include 200 kg drums and IBCs. Check that unloading equipment can handle the viscosity.

Storage and handling

Monitor colour, moisture and residual contamination by lot. For cable grades, request application-specific test results.

Sample and order lead times

State the finished part, machine trial quantity and routine order size. Match trial and commercial grades and agree MOQ, load unit, lead-time start and arrival.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Will hardness and mass hold after heat ageing?

Age at the intended temperature for the relevant duration. For cable applications, also test electrical properties of the finished compound.

Does low volatility establish cable compound compliance?

Check the matrix, residual ions and moisture. Measure electrical performance of the finished insulation compound at the project temperature.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check ester value, volatile loss, volume resistivity test conditions.
