Pool stabilizer sourcing
Check target cyanuric acid and material identity against the site’s water management plan. Confirm the on-site test method.
Chemical synthesis intermediate
Assess the lot against assay, moisture and insolubles required for synthesis. Use specifications appropriate to that end use.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO public product information · Verify against the ordered grade and lot ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cyanuric acid assay | Mass fraction | Express on a C₃H₃N₃O₃ basis. | The old page’s available-chlorine field does not apply. Request the correct specification for the batch. |
| Moisture | Mass fraction | Specify the offered grade and test method. | Compare the condition of the incoming material and the storage history of the retained sample. |
| Particle size | µm or mm | Agree for the powder or granule application. | Agree the sieve opening and percentage passing. Do not infer available chlorine from particle size. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
Chemical identity
| Database entry | Molecular or composition formula | Molar mass |
|---|---|---|
| Cyanuric acid | C3H3N3O3 | 129.07 g/mol |
The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
ENVO lists 25 kg bags. The label should explicitly identify cyanuric acid to prevent confusion with chlorinated isocyanurates.
Storage and handling
Record product and lot on segregated storage and receiving lists. Check on-site use against applicable regulatory and project documents.
Sample and order lead times
State treatment scale, trial quantity and acceptable packaging. Request minimum quantities, preparation times and arrival dates for lab samples, pilot lots and routine replenishment.
Questions from the plant
Does a stabiliser supply available chlorine for disinfection?
Review existing stabiliser levels and monitoring. Check turbidity and dissolution in the system.
Should cyanuric acid be accepted on available chlorine?
Cyanuric acid does not donate chlorine. Correct any mislabelled parameter and assess identity and assay using the relevant methods.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Product identity, Assay, Particle size.
