01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Laundry powders and dry-blend cleaners

Formulate at equal active matter. Check powder flow, dissolution time and detergency in hard water.

Water-based metal cleaning

At the specified hardness, temperature and substrate, compare wetting, degreasing and rinse residue.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO · Sodium Dodecyl Benzene Sulfonate catalogue and specifications ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Active matter % by mass ENVO LAS-80: published value, 80 ± 2. Applies to the listed powder grade. Request the active matter method and inorganic salt content.
Moisture % by mass ENVO LAS published series specifications ≤3 Specify the drying method for the powder and factory sampling conditions.
Aqueous solution pH Dimensionless ENVO LAS published range: 8.5–11.5. Use a 1% aqueous solution and specify water quality and temperature.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Published powder packs are 10 kg or 12.5 kg bags. Specify LAS grade and active matter.

Storage and handling

Keep moisture-resistant packs sealed and segregated by grade. Compare carrier salts and freight separately for low-active grades.

Sample and order lead times

Compare quotations by active matter, as-supplied net weight and packaging. State destination and receiving facilities and request MOQ, sample dispatch and commercial arrival dates.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Why does equal product mass give different cleaning or foam?

Compare soil removal, foam and rinsing at equal active matter and water hardness.

Which of two similarly priced powders offers better value?

Divide delivered price per tonne by active mass fraction on the same basis. Compare cleaning at equal active content in the same water.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Active matter content, sulfate, unsulfonated matter.
