Heat-processed beverages
Compare sweetness retention under intended pasteurization or sterilization and storage conditions. Check finished-product labeling requirements.
Tabletop sweetener blends
Make small batches at equal carrier and particle size. Sample several locations to compare sweetness uniformity and aftertaste.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO · Aspartame product information ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assay | % on a dry basis | ENVO published specification 98.00–102.00 | Confirm analytical method and drying conditions and specify related degradation products separately. |
| Active retention after processing | % | Agree against the process validation plan. | Test pre-processing, post-heat-treatment and stored samples separately. Record the matrix and heat history for each. |
| Particle size distribution | µm or % sieve residue | Specify for the feed system | State sieve opening and percentage passing. For fine or agglomerated material, specify dispersion and sieving procedures. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
Chemical identity
| Database entry | Molecular or composition formula | Molar mass |
|---|---|---|
| Aspartame | C14H18N2O5 | 294.30 g/mol |
The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
ENVO lists 25 kg bags or fibre drums. Confirm order-specific net weight, units per pallet and label revision.
Storage and handling
Check moisture-barrier liner and closure. Ensure the label and identity documentation support the finished-product label review.
Sample and order lead times
State food category, sales market, pilot quantity and required arrival date. Confirm MOQ, batch documents, availability and remaining shelf life separately for samples and commercial orders.
Questions from the plant
Why does sweetness change during storage when the fresh sample tastes right?
Compare sweetness retention after the intended heat treatment and storage. Review finished-product labelling requirements.
How can we investigate lower sweetness when the retained sample looks normal?
Assay samples before and after heat treatment and after storage by the same method. Record formulation pH, temperature and time.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Assay, degradation-related tests, Particle size.
