Cooling confectionery and coatings
At actual solids, inspect crystals and sensory properties after cooling and storage.
Instant drink crystals
At one water temperature, record dissolution time. Sieve and compare the proportions of coarse and fine crystals after packing.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO · Erythritol product information ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Loss on drying | % | ENVO published specification ≤0.20% | Check sieve fractions and moisture separately; caking is not a quantitative moisture measurement. |
| Particle size distribution | µm or % sieve residue | Specify for the feed system | State sieve opening and percentage passing. For fine or agglomerated material, specify dispersion and sieving procedures. |
| Reducing sugars | % by mass | ENVO published specification ≤0.3% | Confirm the analytical method and request separate results for erythritol purity and other polyols. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
Chemical identity
| Database entry | Molecular or composition formula | Molar mass |
|---|---|---|
| Erythritol | C4H10O4 | 122.12 g/mol |
The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
ENVO lists 25 kg bags. Confirm order-specific net weight, units per pallet and label revision.
Storage and handling
Record size grade, powder fraction and broken crystals at the bag bottom. Keep sealed pre- and post-transit samples.
Sample and order lead times
State food category, sales market, pilot quantity and required arrival date. Confirm MOQ, batch documents, availability and remaining shelf life separately for samples and commercial orders.
Questions from the plant
Why does cooling produce crystals or a pronounced cooling sensation?
At the actual solids level, inspect crystals and assess sensory changes after cooling and storage.
Can we retain the coating process after switching erythritol lots?
Keep solids and cooling profile constant. Compare initial seed formation, surface crystals and cracking frequency.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Assay, Particle size distribution, dissolution and crystallization conditions.
Request documents for your application
