Acceptance checks
Density, Melt mass-flow rate, Mechanical properties of the finished part
Density (g/cm³)
Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification
01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Film extrusion

On the same line, compare melt pressure, film gauge uniformity, tear strength and the heat-sealing window.

Blow-molded hollow articles

Compare parison stability, wall thickness distribution and environmental stress cracking of the finished part.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Use these properties to compare grades within the product family. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. INEOS · Polyethylene grades and applications ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Density g/cm³ Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification Identify HDPE, LDPE or LLDPE. Agree the requirement for the polymer type and method.
Melt mass-flow rate g/10 min Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification Report test temperature and load.
Mechanical properties of the finished part By part and test method Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification Keep specimen orientation, thickness and preparation conditions constant.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Choose bagged pellets or bulk supply to suit unloading facilities. Check contaminated pellets, torn bags and lot numbers.

Storage and handling

Retain original pellets and a finished part. Record changes in resin and operating conditions separately.

Sample and order lead times

State processing equipment, trial batch size and monthly demand. Confirm same-grade samples, first-order MOQ, staged deliveries and arrival date.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Does equal melt flow index guarantee the same film feel?

Compare density, branching, comonomer and target film properties as well.

Does a food-contact PE claim cover every food?

Verify the precise grade, use conditions, contact medium and market documentation.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Density, Melt mass-flow rate, Mechanical properties of the finished part.
