Set up the comparison

Identify anhydrous caffeine or the hydrate and the assay basis. Keep the water method and lot ID with the original and converted result.

Measurements to record

Caffeine assay (% on an anhydrous basis). Confirm the destination market and purchasing specification edition. Use a consistent dry or as-received basis. Hydration state (Substance identity). Cross-check the label, specification and moisture report. Record the sample ID and method revision for repeat testing.

Interpreting the results

Have the customer’s quality team apply its approved conversion method. Do not treat the same nominal mass as an equivalent dose without checking the form.
