Set up the comparison
Establish whether the material is sold as a double salt, a blend or a supplier-specific grade. Ask how total calcium is measured and match the trial and commercial specification versions.
Measurements to record
Calcium content (% as received). Confirm the composition of the mixed calcium salt and whether the assay is reported as received. Moisture (% by mass). Specify the water test, sampling and sealing conditions. Interpret water content and loss on drying separately. Record the sample ID and method revision for repeat testing.
Interpreting the results
Confirm composition before comparing at the same calcium dose and temperature. Check both initial dissolution and stability during storage.
