Measurements to record

Malic acid assay (% by mass). Request separate methods for chiral identity and related impurities. Configuration or optical purity (Identification or %). Specify the chiral method or optical rotation conditions. Report total chemical assay separately. Record the sample ID and method revision for repeat testing.

Interpreting the results

Measure initial pH and the change after addition to the formulation. Report both with the salt identity and concentration.
