Can sodium molybdate dihydrate and anhydrous material be substituted by net pack weight?
The grades deliver different molybdenum masses. For a low-dose element, one sampling location may falsely suggest underdosing when the real issue is distribution.
Compare weighing records with multi-point samples
Verify salt form, elemental molybdenum and accompanying sodium and recheck weighing on calibrated equipment. Compare samples from planned locations with a composite. Establish uniformity before judging the dosing error.
How can low finished Mo be distinguished from uneven sampling?
Test stock, diluted solution and samples from different locations separately. Reconcile metering and dilution records. Water-soluble micronutrient fertilizers: At fixed water volume, measure dissolution and clarity. Confirm stock concentration by measured Mo. Sodium load assessment: Compare with ammonium salts at equal Mo. Also calculate sodium or ammonium contribution.
Checking Elemental molybdenum and Hydration state
Elemental molybdenum (% by mass): Report as elemental Mo. Verify molybdate identity and water of crystallisation. Hydration state (Identity and moisture (%)): Specify the precise hydrate and analytical basis. Apply limits for the relevant salt form only. Elemental sodium (% by mass): Calculate as elemental Na only. Use the supplier’s analytical method to check other sodium contributions.
