Suspended calcium beverages
Distinguish soluble and suspension designs under finished-product conditions. Check whether sediment redistributes on shaking.
Comparing powdered calcium sources
Calculate the source mass needed per serving. Check sachet volume, grittiness and cold-water dispersion.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO product listing · Name and catalogue reference ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elemental calcium | % as received | third-party example 21% Ca | Jungbunzlauer tricalcium citrate tetrahydrate example. Calculate the received quantity on the actual hydration basis using the batch COA. |
| Particle size distribution | µm or % sieve residue | Specify for the feed system | State sieve opening and percentage passing. For fine or agglomerated material, specify dispersion and sieving procedures. |
| Settling and redispersion | Sediment height or turbidity | Agree for the finished product | Keep formulation, container, temperature, standing time and shaking procedure constant. Retain the comparison record. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
Request photographs of the proposed inner bag or container, unit weight and closure. Match the lot on the inner and outer packs.
Storage and handling
Sample multiple powder layers for agglomerates and coarse particles. Record the exact calcium salt in inventory.
Sample and order lead times
State food category, sales market, pilot quantity and required arrival date. Confirm MOQ, batch documents, availability and remaining shelf life separately for samples and commercial orders.
Questions from the plant
Why does a beverage settle despite meeting its calcium target?
Distinguish a dissolved from a suspended design under finished-product conditions. Check whether the sediment redisperses.
Why perform a shaking test if the calcium claim is met?
Record sediment height and redispersion after gentle shaking. Measure calcium at both the top and bottom of the bottle.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check dry or as-received elemental calcium basis, Particle size, solubility at formulation pH.
