Chelated trace elements / ENVO-A123

Iron EDTA chelate

Product family

For EDTA-chelated iron, start with chelated iron, source water and root-zone pH. Total iron alone does not establish chelation or stability under the intended conditions.

Iron EDTA chelate · Structure of sodium iron EDTA (NaFeEDTA). Commercial chelation and moisture values require testing.

01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Iron sources for nutrient solutions

Record water alkalinity, pH and storage time. Compare clarity and retention of soluble iron.

Changing chelating agents

Compare against DTPA or EDDHA grades at equal iron and the actual pH.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Use these properties to compare grades within the product family. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. Nouryon Dissolvine · EDTA-chelated fertilizer grades and applications ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Water-soluble iron % by mass Confirm for the proposed grade and project Specify Fe²⁺, total Fe or water-soluble Fe. Sample and test using the corresponding method.
Chelated iron % by mass or % of element chelated Confirm for the proposed grade and project State whether the denominator is total product or water-soluble metal. Identify the ligand and selective analytical method.
Effective pH range pH range Confirm for the proposed grade and project Request use information for the specific grade and verify against actual water hardness and stock solution concentration.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

State Fe-EDTA, iron basis and form on the label. Confirm packaging for powder or solution.

Storage and handling

Follow grade-specific storage and light conditions. Record stock-solution holding time after opening.

Sample and order lead times

State trial use, application season and latest warehouse receipt. Confirm MOQ, dispatch point and expected arrival for samples, initial orders and peak-season replenishment.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Can an iron chelate with a ligand other than EDTA use the same pH range?

Request the documented stability range for each chelant and test in the intended water.

Does adequate total iron remove the need for a chelated-fraction result?

Check the basis and lot report separately for total, water-soluble and chelated iron.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Water-soluble iron, Chelated iron, Effective pH range.
