01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Cleaning solvents

On the actual substrate, assess evaporation, streaks and residue.

Co-solvents for fragrances or personal care

At the intended ingredient concentration and a series of temperatures, compare clarity and odor.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Review these properties when selecting and inspecting incoming material. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. PubChem · Ethanol identity and formula weight ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Ethanol content % by mass or % by volume Agree for the grade and end use State units and reference temperature.
Denaturant Composition and content Agree for the grade and end use Confirm the identity and limit for each item for the specific use.
Nonvolatile matter mg/kg Agree for the grade and end use Verify with the actual evaporation method and quantification limit.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Specify concentration, denatured status, pack net weight and seal. Segregate stock by use.

Storage and handling

Request quotations against the proposed SDS and destination carrier conditions. Confirm dispatch and warehouse arrival.

Sample and order lead times

State receiving tank capacity or required drum size, trial quantity and destination. Ask for sample carriage, commercial MOQ, packaging charge, availability and expected warehouse delivery date.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Can two 95% ethanol quotations be compared directly?

Confirm mass or volume percent, denaturing status and tax or duty basis.

Why are odour or water marks left after spraying?

Check denaturants, impurities and non-volatile residue against a substrate blank.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Ethanol content, Denaturant, Nonvolatile matter.
