When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
Identify feed use and crystal form on bags. Confirm liner, net pallet weight and dosing unit.
Storage and handling
Check transit caking and bag seals. Record how opened material is kept dry and track its lot.
Sample and order lead times
State premix or pelleting trial size, replenishment quantity and receiving warehouse. Confirm MOQ, preparation time and plant arrival separately for samples, pallets and split orders.
Questions from the plant
Can the old charge be retained when monohydrate replaces anhydrous citric acid?
Correct for the actual batch acid content and water of crystallisation. Verify acidity in the formulation.
Is raw-material pH sufficient for acceptance?
State test solution concentration and measure acid content separately. Determine finished acidity in the actual matrix.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Citric acid assay, Hydration state, Particle size.
