Trial objective
Ferrous iron beverages / Oxidation of stored powders
Acceptance checks
Ferrous and total iron, Moisture, Color stability
Ferrous and total iron (mg/g)
Request both measurements separately.
01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Ferrous iron beverages

Track iron oxidation state and appearance under actual packaging and oxygen exposure.

Oxidation of stored powders

Compare sealed retained samples with samples opened repeatedly on the plant’s schedule. Record iron state and color difference.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO · Ferrous Gluconate product information ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Ferrous and total iron mg/g Request both measurements separately. Record sampling, dissolution and analysis times to aid interpretation of iron speciation.
Moisture % by mass Agree for the specific grade Specify the water test, sampling and sealing conditions. Interpret water content and loss on drying separately.
Color stability Color difference or color value Agree the comparison conditions with the retained sample. Use the actual contact medium, packaging and thermal history to distinguish inherent colour from changes during processing.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

ENVO lists 25 kg composite or paper bags. Confirm net weight, units per pallet and label revision.

Storage and handling

Require comparable moisture protection for trial and commercial material. Record opening time and exposure.

Sample and order lead times

State food category, sales market, pilot quantity and required arrival date. Confirm MOQ, batch documents, availability and remaining shelf life separately for samples and commercial orders.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Why does an acceptable fresh sample darken in storage?

Track iron speciation and appearance in the actual packaging under representative oxygen exposure.

Does normal total iron explain the colour?

Review the ferrous fraction, oxygen exposure and formulation acidity together. Retain both neat powder and finished-product samples.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check ferrous iron assay, oxidized impurities, Moisture.
