01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Sugar-free confectionery

At equal dry addition, assess viscosity, crystallization and sensory properties in the finished product.

Crystal-to-syrup substitution

Verify maltitol and other polyols separately. Compare the product cross-section, graining and moisture.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO · Maltitol product information ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Moisture % ENVO published crystalline grade ≤0.5% For crystalline forms only. Request the solids content for syrup.
Principal component assay % by mass Request the grade specification and lot result Identify the analyte, dry or as-received basis and method. Do not substitute a theoretical conversion for an incoming release result.
Composition and impurities % by mass Request the actual component distribution List the principal components and methods used. Specify how unidentified peaks and impurities are reported.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

Chemical identity

Database entry Molecular or composition formula Molar mass
Maltitol C12H24O11 344.31 g/mol

The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

ENVO lists 25 kg bags. Confirm order-specific net weight, units per pallet and label revision.

Storage and handling

Confirm bags for crystals or containers for syrup. Match the receiving test units to the form ordered.

Sample and order lead times

State food category, sales market, pilot quantity and required arrival date. Confirm MOQ, batch documents, availability and remaining shelf life separately for samples and commercial orders.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Why do equal-solids grades give different sweetness or viscosity?

Compare viscosity, crystallisation and sensory performance at equal dry-solids addition.

Can syrup replace crystalline maltitol kilogram for kilogram?

Calculate dry matter and actual maltitol separately. Deduct the water introduced with the syrup from the recipe.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check dry-basis maltitol fraction, Other polyols, Form supplied.
