01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Cotton yarn exhaust dyeing

At equal yarn count and liquor ratio, compare dye uptake curves, levelness and shade depth after washing.

Color matching with dye blends

With the target trichromatic combination, compare hue drift during heating and fixation.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Use these properties to compare grades within the product family. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. Jacquard Procion MX · Reactive dye family ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Relative tinting strength % Agree for the grade and end use Specify fibre, reference sample, shade depth and colour measurement method.
Color difference ΔE Agree for the grade and end use Agree the illuminant, measurement geometry and calculation formula.
Wet fastness Grade Agree for the grade and end use Specify the fabric used to assess staining and the wash conditions for the end-use test.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Pack separately by commercial shade, strength grade and lot. Agree the standard dyed sample.

Storage and handling

Check moisture-related caking, destination-market restricted-substances documentation and arrangements for replenishment across lots.

Sample and order lead times

Specify colour code, surface treatment or filler grade and whether a single lot is required. Confirm trial quantity, MOQ, retention across lots and arrival.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Why does the shade difference increase after washing despite equal initial depth?

Compare fixation, removal of unfixed dye and washing. Keep samples before and after soaping.

Why does a mixed shade drift from the start to the end of a run?

Check uptake curves for each dye and changes in bath conditions. Trial the individual dyes in parallel.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Relative tinting strength, Color difference, Wet fastness.
