01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Rigid PVC extrusion

Record fusion time, torque and finished surface gloss.

Foamed profiles

In the same foaming system, compare melt strength, density and cell structure.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Review these properties for the intended application grade. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. Arkema Plastistrength 576 · PVC processing aid grade ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Powder particle size µm or % sieve residue Arkema Plastistrength 576 example: 40 mesh sieve residue ≤2% Distinguish sieve residue from the fraction passing and confirm the sieve standard.
Apparent density g/cm³ Arkema Plastistrength 576 grade example: 0.45 g/cm³. Use the same loose-fill method to verify the published apparent density.
Fusion behavior Time or torque profile Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification Keep PVC grade, lubricant package and test temperature constant.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Confirm micronised powder packaging, liner and lot and verify compatibility with dispensing and dispersion equipment.

Storage and handling

If agglomeration develops in storage, retest mixing, dispersion and fusion behaviour against a retained control.

Sample and order lead times

State the finished part, machine trial quantity and routine order size. Match trial and commercial grades and agree MOQ, load unit, lead-time start and arrival.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Does “acrylic additive” identify both impact and processing functions?

Request the primary function. Use the relevant tensile, impact or processing trial.

Can fusion times from different formulations be compared directly?

Align temperature, stabiliser, lubricant and PVC resin first.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Powder particle size, Apparent density, Fusion behavior.
