01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Outdoor plastic parts

At the same thickness and aging cycle, compare color, cracking and retained strength.

Film weatherability

Compare light transmission, mechanical property retention and stabilizer migration.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Use these properties to compare grades within the product family. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. SONGWON · Plastics light stabilizers and HALS grades ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
Product identity Composition statement Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification Identify the monomeric, oligomeric or polymeric form and the carrier.
Active fraction % by mass Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification For blends, list HALS and the other components separately.
Property retention after aging % Confirm against the offered grade and purchase specification Specify irradiation, temperature and humidity cycling, specimen thickness and the property retention criterion.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Specify powder, granules or masterbatch and its carrier. Check the actual active amount in each pack.

Storage and handling

Keep the composition and revision traceable on the label. The term HALS alone does not identify equivalent blends.

Sample and order lead times

State the finished part, machine trial quantity and routine order size. Match trial and commercial grades and agree MOQ, load unit, lead-time start and arrival.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Can HALS and UV absorbers be interchanged based on their names?

Their mechanisms differ. Test each separately and together in the actual part.

Can exposure hours from two weathering reports be compared directly?

Match lamp, cycle, black-panel temperature and endpoint first.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Product identity, Active fraction, Property retention after aging.
