Reinforcing synthetic warp yarn
Test size-film adhesion, abrasion resistance and ease of splitting the sized warp.
Combined sizing formulations
Fix the active solids ratio and bath temperature. Monitor size-bath viscosity and residual size after desizing.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Use these properties to compare grades within the product family. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. Ben Tech · Acrylic binders for warp sizing ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solids content | % by mass | Agree for the grade and end use | State drying conditions and the reporting basis for the commercial product. |
| Sizing bath viscosity | mPa·s | Agree for the grade and end use | Specify concentration, temperature and shear. |
| Desizability | Residual amount or grade | Agree for the grade and end use | Use the actual wash procedure and fibre. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
Identify drummed liquid or other commercial form, net weight, lot and solids.
Storage and handling
Ask for the transit temperature range and mixing order with companion sizing products. Retain the site-prepared size.
Sample and order lead times
State processing equipment, trial batch size and monthly demand. Confirm same-grade samples, first-order MOQ, staged deliveries and arrival date.
Questions from the plant
Why does the warp sheet stick after increasing solids?
Check flexibility of the size film, actual drying conditions and yarn separation.
Did particles originate in the raw material or during size preparation?
Compare neat product with the mixed size. Record pH, water hardness and thermal history.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Solids content, Sizing bath viscosity, Desizability.
