Amino acid balance / ENVO-A098

L-Valine

Chemical substance · CAS 72-18-4

Valine is a branched-chain amino acid. Set its target alongside other branched-chain amino acids and the basal diet. Crude protein does not establish product potency.

01 / Applications and trials

Plan a trial for your application

Branched-chain amino acid balance

Recalculate valine, leucine and isoleucine in the current diet. Keep comparable formulations before and after substitution.

Premix flowability

Simulate the actual dosing cycle. Check fines, segregation and valine content at each sampling point.

02 / Quality and acceptance

Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

Review these properties when selecting and inspecting incoming material. Example figures refer to the cited grade or source. Confirm the offered specification, packaging and lead time in the quotation. CJ BIO BestAmino · L-amino acids for feed ↗

Property Unit Published or agreed specification Test conditions and checks
L-Valine % as received Confirm for the proposed grade and project Use an analytical method specific to the L-amino acid. State whether the result is expressed as free base, salt or as-received product.
Moisture % by mass Confirm for the proposed grade and project State the moisture or loss-on-drying method and the temperature and humidity at sampling. Compare the two measurements separately.
Bulk density g/mL Confirm for the proposed grade and project Use the same loose-fill or tapped procedure and filling method. Check weighing variation on the actual batching equipment.

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

03 / Packaging and delivery

From samples to commercial delivery

Packaging and receiving

Mark configuration and declared active value on packs. Confirm the fines grade for samples and bulk goods.

Storage and handling

Check flow and lot number after transport. Retain an unopened control before repacking.

Sample and order lead times

State premix or pelleting trial size, replenishment quantity and receiving warehouse. Confirm MOQ, preparation time and plant arrival separately for samples, pallets and split orders.

04 / Troubleshooting

Questions from the plant

Is digestible valine in the formulation the same as assay on the COA?

Digestible valine is a nutritional model value. The COA reports the measured product assay. Record them separately.

How should we compare old and new grades by tonne price?

Convert to as-received L-valine and account for feeding and premixing losses.

Report a delivery or batch issue

Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check L-Valine, Moisture, Bulk density.
