Glass batching
Use the actual silo and batching system to compare dense grades for bulk density, dust and mixing uniformity.
Powder detergent formulation
Compare dispersion, caking and occupied volume of light soda ash under identical blending and filling conditions.
| Form or grade | Suitability and verification |
|---|---|
| Light grade | Lower bulk density: check occupied volume, dust and pneumatic conveying. |
| Dense grade | Compare silo capacity utilization, size distribution and continuous mass flow. |
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO public product information · Verify against the ordered grade and lot ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bulk density | kg/m³ | Specify for light or dense soda ash. | Specify loose or tapped bulk density. Record moisture and particle condition. |
| Chloride | Mass fraction | Specify the glass or detergent grade. | State whether the result is expressed as Cl or NaCl. |
| Particle size | µm or % sieve residue | Set separate criteria for light and dense grades. | Record sieve opening and fractions retained and passing. Interpret alongside bulk density. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
Chemical identity
| Database entry | Molecular or composition formula | Molar mass |
|---|---|---|
| Sodium Carbonate | CNa2O3 | 105.988 g/mol |
The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
ENVO lists 40 kg bags for light soda ash and 50 kg bags for dense soda ash. Confirm grade and pack before calculating pallet loads or silo capacity.
Storage and handling
Check damage and fines after transport. For bulk or large bags, specify unloading equipment and available storage space.
Sample and order lead times
State the concentration or hydrate, initial net quantity, destination and unloading method. Confirm minimum order, pallet or truckload quantity, dispatch point and arrival date separately.
Questions from the plant
Why is continuous feed erratic or the silo holding less material?
At the same feeder setting, compare mass flow, dust and dissolution residue.
Does a volumetric feeder need recalibration when switching from light to dense soda ash?
Measure loose bulk density and actual delivered mass. Check the mass of soda ash fed over the same interval.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check Bulk density, Particle size, Chloride.
