Industrial water treatment
Verify NaClO₂ mass fraction and chlorate impurities in solution. Review the intended use and receiver qualifications.
Textile and paper bleaching
Check active ingredient, impurities and liquid metering equipment against the substrate whiteness target.
| Form or grade | Suitability and verification |
|---|---|
| Aqueous solution | Compare mass fraction, impurities, container and storage conditions. |
| Solid powder | Requires powder receiving and suitable logistics. Calculate additions on active ingredient content. |
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO public product information · Verify against the ordered grade and lot ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| NaClO₂ content | Mass fraction | published solution grades ≥25.0% or ≥31.0% | Specify the concentration purchased. Solid product specifications do not apply. |
| Sodium chlorate | Mass fraction | ENVO published 25%/31% solution ≤1.5% | Express as NaClO₃ on an as-received solution basis. |
| Free alkali (as NaOH) | Mass fraction | same ENVO published liquid specification ≤1.5% | Check against the concentration specified on this order. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
Chemical identity
| Database entry | Molecular or composition formula | Molar mass |
|---|---|---|
| Sodium Chlorite | ClNaO2 | 90.44 g/mol |
The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
ENVO’s liquid listing specifies 250 kg drums or 1,250 kg IBCs. Confirm container material, seals and discharge outlet.
Storage and handling
Before delivery, confirm tank compatibility, current SDS and carrier requirements. Refer any on-site abnormality to trained personnel.
Sample and order lead times
State active component, destination market, packaging grade and receiving conditions. Request separate details for sample carriage, MOQ, document preparation and expected arrival.
Questions from the plant
Why does comparing liquid and powder tonne prices distort the budget?
Convert to active content. Check receiving equipment compatibility against the supplier’s SDS.
How can a price per cubic metre be compared with a tonne price?
Obtain solution density at a stated temperature and mass fraction. Convert both offers to delivered cost per kilogram of NaClO₂.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check solution mass fraction, chlorate and other impurities, packaging material.
