Liquids for industrial water treatment
Use the approved site method to compare available chlorine on arrival and during storage. Check free alkali separately.
Liquid feed for textile bleaching
Compare the target whiteness and delivery concentration. Confirm liquid metering and receiving conditions.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO public product information · Verify against the ordered grade and lot ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Available chlorine | g/L or % by mass | Agree on a dispatch value and a minimum on arrival. | When converting units, include test temperature and density. |
| Free alkali (as NaOH) | Mass fraction | ENVO published industrial solution 0.1–1.0% | Check the available-chlorine grade ordered and the time of testing. |
| Iron (as Fe) | Mass fraction | ENVO published industrial solution ≤0.005% | Use equivalent sampling containers and check for contamination introduced by the equipment. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
Chemical identity
| Database entry | Molecular or composition formula | Molar mass |
|---|---|---|
| Sodium Hypochlorite | ClNaO | 74.44 g/mol |
The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
The public catalogue lists a 1-tonne IBC. Confirm concentration, unit net weight, tank compatibility and the unloading window.
Storage and handling
Record production, dispatch and receipt dates. Agree the minimum available chlorine on arrival and the retest method.
Sample and order lead times
State active component, destination market, packaging grade and receiving conditions. Request separate details for sample carriage, MOQ, document preparation and expected arrival.
Questions from the plant
Why can available chlorine be lower on arrival than at dispatch?
Agree sampling and testing times at delivery and size orders to match stock turnover.
How do we compare available chlorine in g/L and mass percent?
Use the density of the same sample at a stated temperature, then compare analytical dates and methods.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check available chlorine units, production time, free alkali.
