Detergent powder storage
Compare available oxygen retention for ordinary and coated granules in the same formulation under the agreed shelf conditions.
Detergent tablet formulations
Compare particle size, bulk density and tablet disintegration. Record tablet strength and changes in available oxygen.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. Solvay Oxyper SCM-ST · Available oxygen and test conditions for stabilized sodium percarbonate ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Available oxygen | Mass fraction | Solvay Oxyper SCM-ST third-party example ≥13% | The cited grade uses permanganate titration. Agree a method for the grade being purchased. |
| Particle size distribution | µm or % passing | Agree for the specific granular grade | Measure fines after blending and compare with the initial particle-size distribution. |
| Available oxygen retention | % | Define for the formulation and storage conditions. | Record initial active oxygen, packaging, temperature, humidity and duration. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.
Chemical identity
| Database entry | Molecular or composition formula | Molar mass |

The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
Ask about coating grade and granule attrition resistance. Confirm packaging against the actual SDS; finished-formulation packaging may not suit the raw material.
Storage and handling
Record transit temperature, humidity and package damage. Test active oxygen at dispatch and receipt as agreed.
Sample and order lead times
State active component, destination market, packaging grade and receiving conditions. Request separate details for sample carriage, MOQ, document preparation and expected arrival.
Questions from the plant
Why does the finished product lose available oxygen during storage?
Compare active oxygen retention in the actual formulation under identical packing and storage conditions.
Why does initial active oxygen match but retention in detergent powder differ?
Compare coating grade, blending sequence and storage in the same base powder and packaging. Retain an unblended control.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check active oxygen, coating state, Bulk density.
