Cooling-water scale control
At target water quality and concentration cycles, compare scaling tendency, turbidity and deposits.
Metal-ion control in dyeing
Check formulation pH, iron and calcium. Test the effect on color and solution clarity.
Purchase specifications and incoming inspection
Include the intended grade or current specification in the enquiry. Use the table to compare selection criteria and inspection conditions. The specification agreed by both parties defines the contractual limits. ENVO public product information · Verify against the ordered grade and lot ↗
| Property | Unit | Published or agreed specification | Test conditions and checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Active acid | Mass fraction | ENVO published liquid 48.0–52.0%, crystalline material ≥95% | Identify the physical and salt forms before selecting the applicable column. |
| pH of 1% solution | Dimensionless | ENVO published liquid and solid acid grades ≤2.0 | Confirm the acid form first. Salt forms require separate specifications. |
| Density | g/cm³ | ENVO published liquid ≥1.33 | Reference temperature 20 °C. This value applies only to the specified liquid. |
When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

| Aminotrimethylene phosphonic acid | C3H12NO9P3 | 299.05 g/mol |
The values refer to the compound indicated. Confirm hydrate form, solution concentration and blend composition for the commercial grade.
From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
Published examples include 250 kg plastic drums or IBCs for liquid and 25 kg lined bags for crystals. State acid or salt form on the quotation.
Storage and handling
Record active acid, temperature exposure and appearance by lot. Check liquid density and moisture protection for crystals.
Sample and order lead times
State treatment scale, trial quantity and acceptable packaging. Request minimum quantities, preparation times and arrival dates for lab samples, pilot lots and routine replenishment.
Questions from the plant
Why does adding ATMP make the formulation cloudy?
Check calcium tolerance, scale inhibition and compatibility under the actual hardness and concentration conditions.
How should active acid be compared for solid and liquid ATMP?
Convert to the same active-acid basis. Account separately for water, freight and on-site dissolution capacity.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check acid or salt form, active content, Chloride.
