Purchase specifications and incoming inspection

When approving a sample, record the grade, methods, limits and specification revision. On receipt, match the packing lot number to the lot-specific COA and record the measured values and release decision.

From samples to commercial delivery
Packaging and receiving
Examples include 200 L HDPE drums or 1,000 L IBCs for liquids and 25 kg lined bags for solids. Specify capacity and net weight separately.
Storage and handling
State temperature when comparing density. Agree storage and sampling conditions separately for solids.
Sample and order lead times
State treatment scale, trial quantity and acceptable packaging. Request minimum quantities, preparation times and arrival dates for lab samples, pilot lots and routine replenishment.
Questions from the plant
Why does nominal product concentration mislead cost or feed calculations?
Compare on active acid equivalents and check compatibility in the existing formulation.
How do we convert a drum price to delivered cost per kilogram of active acid?
Verify net weight after tare deduction and the batch active acid fraction, then include freight. Drum volume is not mass.
Report a delivery or batch issue
Include the order number, lot number from the package, label photos and inspection records for the affected lot. When retesting, check active acid basis, Phosphate impurities, Density.
